Their initiatives focus on environmental responsibility, supporting local communities, and prioritising the well-being of their team members. Ocean Hotels' commitment to the environment includes reducing reliance on fossil fuels, recycling, and participating in island-wide clean-up events. They also emphasise responsible tourism practices, such as promoting local businesses and reducing waste. Furthermore, they invest in their employees' growth and development and partner with local organisations to support the youth of Barbados.
Impact Stories
Ocean Hotels Barbados partnered with the Barbados Community College's Nursing Programme to provide 20 nursing students with a workshop and hands-on work experience aimed at enhancing their hospitality and customer service skills.
This initiative helped the students develop critical soft skills such as communication, empathy, and problem-solving, which are essential for their future roles as professional carers.
